Pharka appointed as new CS and Negi as Prl Adviser to CM

Vidya Chander Pharka (IAS:1983:HP) appointed as new Chief Secretary to the Govt of Himachal Pradesh superseding three other senior IAS officers posted in the state namely; Deepak Sanan (ACS, Forests); Vineet Chowdhary (ACS, Health) and Ms Upma Chowdhary, ACS, Agriculture). Pharka's appointment was announced instantly after a function to felicitate the outgoing Chief Secretary P Mitra (IAS:1978:HP).
In addition; setting aside all speculations State Election Commissioner T G Negi (former IAS officer) appointed as Principal Adviser to Chief Minister on co-terminus basis. Negi will discharge all his duties as Principal Secretary to CM. During 2003-2007 Negi served as Principal Secretary to CM Virbhadra Singh.
