Public Sector hunter (PESB) recommended Saumendra Kumar Barua for the post of Managing Director, Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL). Barua will replace P Padmanabhan, the incumbent director, who will retire on October 31st this year. Currently he serves as Director (Finance), NRL. Barua joined Numaligarh Refinery Ltd in May 01, 2013 as Whole-time Director.
Altogether seven members appeared before PESB for the interview namely; Saumendra Kumar Barua (Director- Finance, NRL), Debashish Choudhury (CGM, NRL), Nikunja Borthakur (CGM, NRL), Munukutla Vasuku Ravi Someswarudu (ED, GAIL), Gopal Chandra Sikder (CGM, IOCL), Ved Prakash Pandey (Addl. GM, NTPC), R Rajagopalan (Addl. GM, PGCIL).
