New Delhi (10.11.2025) PESB Chairperson Mallika Srinivasan is likely to get a further extension of one year beyond 18.11.2025. This is to recall that rules were slightly tweaked to give her last extension. Interestingly, her terms were seen affective thus the government is said to be keen to extend her tenure even though she functions remotely (Chennai) via online and rarely visits the Board headquarters in Delhi. She had replaced Rajeev Kumar (Retd IAS: 1984: JH) as PESB Chairperson in April 2021 for a period of three years or till she attains 65 years of age. 
She was scheduled to mark her last working day in PESB on 18.11.2024 but the NaMo administration had extended her tenure up to 18.11.2025.
