As 'Indianmandarins' had anticipated in report dated Sept 24 Pankaj Saran has been appointed as India's Ambassador to Russia. Known for his critically important role in securing Indo-Bangladesh land boundary agreement, Pankaj Saran (IFS:1982) will take over from P S Raghavan (IFS:1979) the charge in Moscow on January 01. Saran is presently serving as India's High Commissioner to Dhaka. Raghavan is scheduled for superannuation on December 31.
