Pradeep Kumar Sinha (IAS:1977: UP) assumed charge as Cabinet Secretary. He takes over from Ajit Kumar Seth (IAS:UP:1974) . Mr. Sinha was earlier OSD in the Cabinet Secretariat. Prior to this appointment, he worked as Power Secretary. He also served as Secretary Shipping. He had held several other key positions at centre. The outgoing Cabinet Secretary Ajit Seth (IAS:UP:1974) was given third consecutive extension on December 05, 2014.
