Director of Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) in Kolkata Bimal Roy has been removed from the post with effect from June 10. He has been replaced by director-designate Sanghmitra Bandyopadhyay, who was supposed to take charge of the institute on August 1. According to orders, acts of administrative and financial indiscipline had been found on the part of Roy from the records. Necessary disciplinary action may be taken against him.
