'Indianmandarins' has reliably learnt that Ms V R Iyer (former CMD of Bank of India) may be named as Member, IRDAI (Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority of India). Ms Iyer superannuated as CMD, BoI, on May 31 this year.
IRDAI was constituted by an Act of Parliament in 1999. The ten member team comprises five full-time members and four part-time members and a chairman.
