Opposition’s confidence on no confidence motion

New Delhi (27.07.2023): Are opposition parties so naïve that despite knowing the outcome of no confidence motion in Parliament, they brought it? They certainly have done this with a plan that might benefit them for 2024 LS polls. Now, the question is who will be able to capitalize on this discussion. Let’s try to understand where the ruling and opposition combines stand.

What does it mean to the Opposition?

The Opposition will be successful in its strategy to force the PM to make statement in Parliament.
A psychological victory for the entire opposition that will help to send across a message to its electorates.
It will also reflect unity and collective cause of the newly formed alliance INDIA.
The Opposition will be able to highlight failure of the PM and the government.
This will also help the opposition to gauge where they stand and which way to proceed.

How the NDA may take up the issue to its benefit?

It appears to be a blessing in disguise for the NDA to tell mis-governance in opposition-ruled states.
The PM may use the opportunity to turn the tide on Opposition for which he is well equipped.
Contradiction of INDIA will be hit the hard way during no confidence.
With Rahul Gandhi out of Parliament, there is not a single leader with an appeal beyond one state to benefit NDA.
Since the matter is of North East some skeleton will fall out of cupboard to target old policies of the Congress.
