As Indianmandarins had reported first on 23 February 2018 (Weblink below) NaMo administration on Friday extend the term of Sushil Chandra (IRS IT:1980), Chairman of Central Board of Direct Taxes, for a period of one year beginning 01 June 2018. It is Chandra's second tenure in re-employment. Reportedly the ongoing process of appointment for two posts of Members in CBDT, which was stuck up, may gather momentum now. It may be recalled that Chandra was scheduled to retire on 31 May 2017 but 22 days ahead of his retirement, the NaMo administration re-appointed him as CBDT Chairman for a period ending 31 May 2018.
