The Kerala government effected a minor reshuffle in the Police department and appointed senior IPS officer B S Mohammed Yasin (IPS:1986:KL) as Director of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau. Yasin, currently Additional DGP (Crimes in the rank of DGP), will take over charge from DGP N C Asthana (IPS:1986:KL), who had returned to Central service as Director of Vigilance in February.
Shaik Darvesh Saheb (IPS :1990:KL), ADGP in Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau, has been transferred and posted as ADGP Crimes vice B S Mohammed Yasin.
K Sethuraman (IPS:2004:KL), Dy IGP (Crimes) is transferred and posted as Dy IGP (Administration) and will also hold the additional charge of Assistant IG I (Police Headquarters) vice V Gopal Krishnan (IPS:2009:KL), retiring on 31 May 2018.
Pratheesh Kumar (IPS:2011:KL), presently posted as District Police Chief, Malappuram will hold full additional charge of SP, Anti Terrorist Force (ATF).
The order said Merin Joseph (IPS:2013:KL), Deputy Commissioner of Police, Kozhikode City, has been transferred and posted as SP, Railways. While Poonguzali (IPS:2014:KL), Commandant, KAP I will hold full additional charge of Commandant, India Reserve Battalion vice Thomson Jose.
Karthikeyan Gokula Chandran (IPS:2014:KL), SP, ATF and Rajan D (IPS:KL), SP, Telecommunications are transferred and posted as Commandant, KAP V Battalion and Principal, Police Training College respectively.
