Indianmandarins has reliably learnt that CISF unit Chandigarh may see a new Group Commandant on July 01. The officer joined at CISF headquarter in Delhi last week under central deputation. After completing her fortnight-long familiarisation program, Ms. Princee Rani, a 2005 batch IPS officer of Tripura cadre, will take over as Group Commandant in Chandigarh on July 01. It may be noted that only cadre officers (of the CPO) are posted as Commandants in CPOs except CISF and SSB. These two CPOs are exceptions where an IPS officer is posted as Commandant given the post is vacant.
