New Delhi (10.06.2024):Election Commission of India has announced by-elections on 13 Assembly constituencies in seven states. These elections are evenly poised and not tilted towards any political alliance. There is one seat in Madhya Pradesh, two seats in Uttarakhand and three seats in Himachal Pradesh where NDA emerged stronger in the recently held elections.
Other states where by-states are announced included West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Punjab where by-elections will be held on 4, 1 and 1 seats, respectively. There is one seat in Bihar Rupauli from where Bima Bharati resigned and she later contested from Purnia Lok Sabha seat against Pappu Yadav but lost miserably getting just little over seven thousand votes as RJD candidate.
