New Delhi (27.04.21): The MVA government is set on a path of a wild goose chase. 

Instead of addressing the issue of corruption in police transfer and postings in Maharashtra, Mumbai Police have been prompted to investigate how the report on corrupt practices in the state police, prepared by former state intelligence chief Rashmi Shukla, was leaked to BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis. 

As part of this inquiry following the filing of an FIR at the BKC cyber police station under the Officials Secrets Act against unknown persons for alleged illegal tapping of phones and leaking of findings of official secret documents last month, current CRPF ADG Shukla has been summoned to Mumbai. 

The FIR was filed at the behest of CS Sitaram Kunte who alleged in a report to CM Udhav Thackerey that she herself might have leaked the report. Reportedly, Kunte, known for his non-performance covered up by his closeness to state politicians, is said to have done the hatchet job in his report to the CM on the role of Ms. Shukla who always earned the gratitude of the people wherever she was posted from the beginning of her career in the IPS.
