'Indianmandarins' has reliably learnt that Ms Ananya Ray (IRS C&CE:1980) may be appointed as Member (Budget), CBEC vice Kaushal Srivastava (former Chairman, CBEC) who demitted the office on June 30 and handed over the charge of Chairman, CBEC to Najib Shah (IRS C&CE:1979). Ms Ray's name had appeared on the approved panel (comprising 07 names) for Member, CBEC in the first week of April this year.
Reportedly, Ms Ray will be appointed as Member CBEC against the place vacated by Kaushal Srivastava. Currently she is serving as Chief Commissioner, Customs (P), Delhi.
