There was a similarity between Ms Nalini Netto and Dinesh Kumar while taking over as new Chief Secretary of Kerala and Andhra Pradesh respectively. Both took over from their batchmates.
Senior IAS officer Ms Nalini Netto (IAS:1981:KL), on Sunday, assumed charge as the new Chief Secretary of Kerala Vice S M Vijayanand (IAS:1981:KL) who retired on 31st March 2017. Prior to this Ms Netto served as Additional Chief Secretary (Home) and Secretary to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. It is also believed that even though she has only five months to retire she would be given further extension after her retirement on 31st August 2017.
Similarly, Dinesh Kumar (IAS:1983:AP), 01st April 2017, took over as the new Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh from his predecessor Ajay Kallam (IAS:1983:AP.
He has two most challenging tasks to realise his CM's dream projects of Polavaram and world class capital Amaravati. Prior to assuming charge as the Chief Secretary, he worked as Special Chief Secretary of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development. Kumar will be in service till September 2018.
