The six-member National Minority Commission headed by Chairperson Naseem Ahmad (Retd IAS:1972:HY) is said to have been terribly restricted in discharging its functions as two posts of members have been vacant for long. Further, Praveen Davar is completing his tenure on 25 January whereas a Parsi Member Dadi Mistry will be completing his tenure on 08th March this year followed by Chairperson Naseem Ahmad completing his tenure on 04 March. This means that from 26 January onwards, NCM will have only Chairperson & a member and on 5th March year it will be left with only one member; and four days later on 08th March, there will be a total vacuum in NCM.
