MHA abruptly transferred the IAS couple from Delhi to Ladakh & Arunachal

1918New Delhi (26.05.2022): The Union Home Ministry on Thursday late evening transferred the AGMUT Cadre IAS officers Sanjeev Khirwar (IAS:1994:UT) and his wife Mrs Rinku Dhugga (IAS:1994:UT) from Delhi to Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh respectively. Khirwar is currently posted with the Delhi government as its Principal Secretary (Revenue). He was earlier posted as Divisional Commissioner, Delhi. A section of whos who in power corridors believe that the abrupt decision came hours after a news report highlighted the alleged misuse of facilities at Thyagraj Stadium. Reportedly, the MHA, before taking the stern move, sought and received a report from Delhi chief secretary Naresh Kumar about the ‘factual position’ on the alleged misuse of facilities at Thyagraj Stadium by the couple.
