The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet on Monday effected a major Joint Secretary level appointments in various ministries and departments. Accordingly;

  • Shyam Sunder Dubey (ICAS:1989) appointed Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser (JS&FA), Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs for a tenure of five years. He replaces Ms Jhanja Tripathi (IRAS:1986).
  • Ms. Nazli Jafri Shayin (IA&AS:1990) appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Defence for an overall tenure of five years. She replaces Jayant Sinha (IA&AS:1990).
  • Ms Suman Sharma (IRS IT:1990) appointed as Additional DG, Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) under the Department of Commerce for a tenure of five years vice Ms Vasundhara Sinha (IRS IT:1988)
  • Ms Nidhi Khare (IAS:1992:JH) appointed as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change for an overall tenure of five years. She replaces  Ms V Vidyavathi (lAS:1991:KN).
  • Pankaj Agarwal (lAS:1992:MP) appointed  Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat vice Gyanesh Bharti (lAS:1998:UT) who repatriated to cadre last week.
  • Kailash Chand Gupta (lAS:1992:MP)  appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship for a tenure of five years. He replaces  Rajesh Agarwal (IAS:1994:MN).
  • Rajesh Agarwal (lAS:1994:MN) appointed Executive Director, India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO) under the Department of Commerce for a combined tenure of seven years. He replaces Deepak Kumar (lAS:1990:UP).
  • Sanjay (ISS:1992) appointed Additional Registrar General in the office of Registrar General of India & Census Commissioner (RGI & CC) under the Ministry of Home Affairs for a tenure of five years. He replaces  Anil Sant (lAS:1988:UP).
  • R K Singh (IDAS:1993) appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs for an overall tenure of five years. He replaces A V Dharma Reddy (IDES:1991).
  • Shanti P Beck (IRSSE:1992) appointed as Additional Secretary (JS level), Central Information Commission (CIC) under DOPT for a combined tenure of seven years 

    vice R K Singh (IDAS:1993). 

  • Sajjan Singh Yadav (IAS:1995:UT) appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Women & Child Development for a tenure of five years. He replaces Moses Chalai (IAS:1990:MN).
  • Kashi Nath Jha (IP&TA&FS:1994) appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Chemicals & Petro-Chemicals for a tenure of five years vice Ms Aparna S Sharma, (CSS).
  • Ms. Shomita Biswas (IFoS:1998:MH) appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare vice Ms. Alka Bhargava (IFoS:1987:AM) for a combined tenure of seven years.
  • Ms Shubha Thakur (CSS) appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Cooperation & Farmers Welfare vice Dinesh Kumar (lAS:1996:RJ) for an overall tenure of five years.
  • Ms Puja Singh Mandol (IA&AS:1995) appointed  Joint DG, Directorat General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) under the Ministry of Civil Aviation for a tenure of five years vice Ms Shubha Thakur (CSS).
  • Angshumali Rastogi (IRSME:1995) appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation for an overall tenure of five years vice Ms Shefali Juneja (IRS IT:1992).
  • Manoj Pandey (IRS IT:1992) appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Corporate Affairs for a combined tenure of seven years. He replaces Anurag Agarwal (IAS:1990:PB).
  • Ms Amita Prasad Sarbhai (IRAS:1993) appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture for a tenure of five years. She replaces Shravan Kumar, IRS (IT 1991).
  • Ms Tarika Roy (IRAS:1997) appointed Joint Secretary, Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities for a tenure of five years. She replaces  Ms. Dolly Chakrabarty (1987:IA&AS).
  • Anand Madhukar (IRPS:1997) appointed OSD (JS level), Department of Financial Services, by upgrading the post of OSD (Dir. level), for a combined tenure of seven years.
  • Ms. Thara D (lAS:1995:GJ) appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA) for a tenure of five by upgrading a vacant post of Director level.
  • Amitesh Kumar Sinha (IRAS:1997) appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) for an overall tenure of five years vice Gopal K Gupta (IRSME:1987).
  • Ms Archana Goyal Gulati (IP&TAFS:1989) appointed Joint Secretary, NITI Aayog, for a tenure of five years  vice Vikram Singh Gaur (IFoS:1986:JH).
  • Ms G Jayanti (CSS) appointed Joint Secretary, DOPT for a tenure ending 31.03.2024 i.e. upto her superannuation. She replaces Gyanendra Dev Tripathi (lAS:1998:AM).
  • Ms Rashmi Chawdhary (IRPS:1989) appointed as Joint Secretary, DOPT for an overall tenure of five years. She replaces Vijoy Kumar Singh (lAS:1990:PB).
  • Ms Radhika Chakravarthy B (IPoS:1996) appointed  Joint Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment for a tenure of five years. She replaces Ms Rashmi Chawdhary (IRPS:1989).
  • Ms Sumita Dawra (lAS:1991:AP) appointed Joint Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade for a tenure of five years by upgrading a vacant post of Director.
  • Mritunjay Kumar Narayan (IAS:1995:UP) appointed Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power for a tenure of five years. He replaces Ms Archana Agarwal (lAS:1990:UP).
  • Kumar Sanjay Bariar (IP&TAFS:1993) appointed Jointed DG (Shipping), Mumbai under the Ministry of Shipping for a tenure of five years. He replaces Amitabh Kumar (IRS IT:1987).
  • Sandip M Pradhan (IRS IT:1990) appointed DG, Sports Authority of India under the Department of Sports for a combined tenure of seven years. He replaces  Ms Neelam Kapoor (IIS:1982) consequent on completion of her tenure on superannuation on 31.07.2019.
  • Ms Rupinder Brar (IRS IT:1990) appointed as Additional DG (Tourism), Ministry of Tourism for a tenure of five years. She replaces Ms Meenakshi Sharma (IA&AS:1988).
  • Ms Yatinder Prasad (IA&AS:1993) appointed Joint Secretary & Financial Adviser (JS&FA) in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for a tenure of five years. She replaces Ms Meera Ranjan Tsering (IPoS:1988).
  • Asit Gopal (IFoS:1990:MP) appointed Chairman & MD, NSTFDC, under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for a tenure of five years. He replaces Gantha Ramesh Kumar Ganta (lAS:1993:PB).
