Mumbai (05.01.2023): The Maharashtra government appointed Deven Bharti (IAS: 1994: MH) as special commissioner of police (CP). The Mumbai Police has introduced the post for the first time in the history of the city.The order specifying the powers of the special CP is expected to be released by the Mumbai Commissioner's office. The joint commissioner of police, Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Law & Order and Crime may report to the special CP.
