In a strategic move, the BJP is not taking services of its leaders from Maharshtra in Bihar due to apprehension that there might be backlash against them in view of attacks on people from Bihar Maharashtra in the past. Leaders like former party president and Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari, Union environment minister Prakash Javdekar and Union power minister Piyush Goyal have not been sent to the state for possible backlash that might harm the prospect of the BJP at the time of elections. However, leaders from Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh are deputed in abundance in Bihar the way they worked in Delhi.
