Cochin Shipyard is known as the best performing shipyard in the country among both the Public and Private sector players. The company had been achieving a consistently good performance in the last several years and had been adjudged 'Excellent" for its performance under the MOU with the GOI for the last seven years. The company's turnover in 2014-15 was Rs 1860 crores as compared to Rs 1653 crores in 2013-14 and the company's net profit in 2014-15 was Rs 235 crores as compared to Rs 194 crores in 2013-14.
