New Delhi (11.12.2021): If some well-placed sources are to be believed the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) has considered General Manoj Mukund Narwane for the top military post of Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) of India whereas Lieutenant General Chandi Prasad Mohanty is reported to have considered as new Army Chief vice General Naravane. Gen Naravane is retiring as the Chief of Army Staff in five months. Sources say that the official announcement will be made shortly. The CDS is the chairman of the powerful Chiefs of Staff Committee (COSC) that also comprises the three service chiefs.
