Senior most Member of Lokpal Justice Dilip Babasaheb Bhosale
(formerly CJ of Allahabad HC), on Monday, resigned from Lokpal Committee on
personal ground. Reportedly, he had sent the resignation to President Ram Nath
Kovind. He was, on 27 March 2019, administered the oath of office by
Lokpal Chairman Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose. The anti-corruption watchdog Lokpal has three members comprising
a Chairman, a Judicial and Non-judicial Member. The members of the Lokpal will
include eight members – former High Court judges and civil servants. The law
provides for a Lokpal at the Centre and Lokayuktas in states to probe cases of
corruption against public servants.
