Local vs National: Cong wants Karnataka battle on local issues

New Delhi (17.04.2023): The Congress is upbeat about getting good response from people in Karnataka and is sure of running a good show by focusing local issues with aggression. In a clever move, the party does not want to rake up national issue in Karnataka to make it Modi verses Rahul. It feels that regional 'Satrap' will sail through as it is going to take advantage of infighting in the BJP. Visit of RaGa at the Nandini stall is a clear attempt to give message and to keep the focus on local. A tweaked PM’s slogan ‘vocal on local’ suits the Congress most here and the Congress is exactly doing the same by attacking local leaders for corruption and governance issues.
