
Trivandrum (06.06.2025): The Government of Kerala on Thursday effected a significant reshuffle of senior IAS officers, assigning new roles and responsibilities to streamline administrative functions and foster growth across key departments.
An ex-cadre post of Resident Commissioner, Kerala House, New Delhi has been created for a period of one year in the Chief Secretary Grade of IAS. Puneet Kumar (IAS: 1993: KL) Additional Chief Secretary, Local Self Government Department has been posted as Kerala Govt’s Resident Commissioner in Delhi. The RC post fell vacant after Ajiit Kumar (IAS: 2006: KL) moved on Central Deputation as Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & IT in Govt of India.
Another ex-cadre post of Additional Commissioner, Kerala GST Department has also been created for a period of one year. Sreelakshmi R (IAS: 2019: KL), currently Staff Officer to Chief Secretary was posted as Additional Commissioner, Kerala GST Department.
In addition, at least seven IAS officers were assigned with the full additional charge as follows:
- Mohammed Hanish APM (IAS: 1996: KL) Principal Secretary, Industries Department- Food & Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department.
- Biju K (IAS: 2006: KL), Secretary, Public Works Department- Special Officer, Capital Region Development Project-II.
- Dr. K Vasuki (IAS: 2008: KL), Secretary, Labour and Skills Department- General Education Department.
- Anupama T V (IAS: 2010: KL), Special Secretary, Local Self Government Department- Special Secretary (Co-ordination).
- Mohammed Y Safirulla K (IAS: 2010: KL) Special Secretary- Staff Officer to Chief Secretary.
- Sreelakshmi R (IAS: 2019: KL), currently Staff Officer to Chief Secretary was posted as Additional Commissioner, Kerala GST Department.
Further, Dr. Veena N Madhavan (IAS: 2010: KL), Special Secretary, Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department- Special Secretary, Co-operation Department along with full additional charges of Special Secretary, Planning and Economic Affairs Department and Member Secretary, Kerala State Planning Board.
