T.P. Senkumar will be replaced as Kerala director general of police (DGP) by Loknath Behera who is the director of fire and rescue service at present. Behera will now take charge as DGP (law and order). Senkumar has been moved to the position of police housing construction corporation MD. In another important change of position in the police force, Jacob Thomas, who was vocal against alleged corruption by ministers in the previous UDF government, has been appointed as vigilance director. Former vigilance chief N. Shanker Reddy will be given a new position later.
