Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy has launched a new website to update his voters about his daily schedules, tour programmes, and various government schemes. He launched the personal site in view of the existing code of conduct in the state as part of the May 16 Assembly polls. But he could not upload details of the development schemes on his official website because of the code of conduct, the Chief Minister's office said on Tuesday.
It also has a detailed personal and political profile of Chandy, who is seeking his 11th stint to the state Assembly from his home constituency Puthuppally in Kottayam in the upcoming polls. The tech-savvy Chandy has been active on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
Marxist veteran and state opposition leader V S Achuthanandan also joined the cyber world recently by launching his own website and opening Facebook and Twitter accounts to connect with voters.
