IFoS officer Kamal Preet is the new Conservator of Forests in the
National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi. She belongs to the 1997-Batch
officer of the Arunachal-Goa-Mizoram-UTs (AGMUT) cadre and is currently posted
as the Conservator of Forests at the regional office in Dehradun. She was appointed to this post in 2017 and her tenure is due to expire
in April 2019. She has earlier served as the Additional Director General (Education
& Recruitment board), Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education
(ICFRE) Dehradun; General Manager at Andaman & Nicobar Islands Forest and
Plantation Development Corporation Limited (ANIFPDCL), Port Blair; Deputy
Conservator of Forest (DCF), Department of Environment & Forests, Andaman &
Nicobar islands; DCF, Department of Forests & Wildlife, Delhi; and
Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Department of Environment & Forest,
Arunachal Pradesh among others. Preet is an M. Phil in Botany.
