Jyotsana Varma Ray (IAS:JH:1992) is deemed to have resigned from IAS. Before tendering her resignation on August 12, 2017, she had reportedly sought VRS, which was denied by the Jharkhand government.
Earlier, she was posted to ADB, Manila, for two years in 2010. After the completion of her foreign posting term, she reportedly abstained from the service and did not rejoin. Subsequently, her name figured in the list of absconding IAS officers.
