New Delhi (17.12.2020): Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) - Antwerp Port Training & Consultancy Foundation has announced an online course in breakbulk handling at the training centre. The course has been launched with the aim to provide training and expertise to port professionals and share the best practices prevailing at the leading terminals of Port of Antwerp. The program is focused on the online training sessions handled by faculty from The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Belgium, and the Indian experts. The training will be attended by officers from the private ports as well as Government ports. Sanjay Sethi, IAS, Chairman of JNPT, commenting on the training session said that the course will help to create a common understanding of the safety and efficiency standards which will ensure safe and timely cargo handling. He informed that the JNPT plans to host many such training sessions after getting a response from the major ports and private sector. The Foundation has so far instructed more than 14000 trainees from across 150 countries.
