As Indianmandarins had reported first on July 10 the NaMO administration picked Satish Chandra Jha (Retd
IPS:1981:BH), a seasoned intelligence officer and former Special Director of
Intelligence Bureau, as the new Chairman of National Technical Research
Organisation (NTRO). For over a year Jha has been serving as advisor to the
NTRO. NTRO is the special technical intelligence gathering
branch of the government which functions under Cabinet Secretariat. Jha replaces Alok Joshi, a former
R&AW Chief, who began his journey with NTRO on 30 April 2015 and completed
the tenure on 31 August 2018.
