New Delhi (19.10.2022): In a sudden move, the New Delhi establishment on Wednesday announced the appointment of former Civil Aviation Secretary Pradeep Singh Kharola, (Retd lAS: 1985 :KN) as Chairman & Managing Director of India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) in the rank and pay of Secretary to the Government of India on contract basis for a period of two years.
Currently Kharola is working as Chairman, National Recruitment Agency (NRC) and as per the latest notification, he will continue to hold the additional charge of NRC till appointment of a regular incumbent. It may be recalled that immediately after the retirement as Union Commerce Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam was drafted as ITPO CMD vice LC Goyal.
Taking a U-turn, the New Delhi establishment in its latest decision replaced Subrahmanyam with PS Kharola ahead of G-20 Summit.
