New Delhi (05.06.2025): Yogendra Kumar Mishra (IRS IT: 2014), Joint Commissioner of Income Tax, has been suspended and his headquarters has been shifted to Kolkata. Mishra has been directed not to leave the headquarters without prior permission. This action happened six days after allegedly assaulting Gaurav Garg (IRS IT: 2016) inside income tax office in Lucknow. Garg had lodged an FIR accusing Mishra of manhandling. The case stems from a three-month old dispute in February 2025 during a cricket match.
