Bhubaneswar (30.07.2024): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today suspended Pandit Rajesh Uttamrao (IPS: 2007: OD) for gross misconduct. Majhi has suspended Pandit after he came to know about an incident that occurred on July 27 night in Bhubaneswar. A serious allegation has been made against Pandit on that night.Pandit was serving as DIG, Fire Services & Home Guards, Odisha. A disciplinary proceeding against Pandit is contemplated on the grounds of grave misconduct as a Member of the Indian Police Service. Pandit is fixed at the State Police Headquarters, Odisha, Cuttack and he shall not leave the said headquarters without obtaining the permission of the D.G. of Police, Odisha, Cuttack.
