New Delhi (24.03.2026): Some of the officers close to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar are seeking central deputation following his potential transition to the Rajya Sabha. Some such officers included Secretary in the CMO Anupam Kumar (IAS: 2003: BH), Education Department ACS B Rajendra (IAS: 1995: BH), OSD to the CM Gopal Singh (IFS: 2002: BH), and Science and Technology Secretary Pratima S Verma (IAS: 2003: BH).
The state government reportedly approved their central deputation which is pending for clearance by the Centre. This highlights a broader bureaucratic reshuffle as the administration adapts to shifting political dynamics. These departures are expected to create notable vacancies, requiring a significant restructuring of the state administration.
