Chandigarh (12.05.2021): Haryana DGP Manoj Yadav (IPS:1988:HY) has invited a totally avoidable problem by acting in a manner he allegedly did against IGP (Home Guards) Y Puran Kumar (IPS:2001:HY). In a petition admitted by the P&H HC, Kumar has accused the DGP of “discriminatory attitude,” and, therefore, sought its directions to the ACS Home to take an immediate decision on his complaints submitted against Yadava. Kumar's petition to the HC as well as his complaints to the ACS Home refers to Yadav's partial attitude, discriminatory treatment, and violation of All-India Service (Conduct) Rules, 1968. He has also sought directions to restrain the DGP from writing his annual performance appraisal report till the time the complaints against him are decided and to refrain him from unnecessary communication with him with regard to the demi official (DO) letter dated August 17, 2020. Kumar's petition alleges that Yadava has been targeting him since July 2020 in a vindictive manner and discriminating against him for personal reasons ever since he got the coveted Ambala posting for some time in 2020 which Yadav wanted for one of his proteges.
