Holding the additional charge of DG, Bureau of Indian Standard since November 28, 2014 G Gurucharan (IAS:1982:KN) has been ordered to continue with the same for another three months w.e.f. May 14, 2015 or till the appointment of a new incumbent. Prior to this Late Sri Sunil Soni (IAS:1981:MH) held the post as regular DG of BIS.
Gurucharan is currently serving as Additional Secretary, Food & Public Distribution.
