gujarat:-kk-gets-3-year-extension

If some well-placed sources are to be believed the Gujarat Govt has considered the proposal of extension of tenure of K Kailashnathan (Retd IAS:1979:GJ), popularly known as KK, for another three years beginning 26 December 2019. Currently he is serving as Chief Principal Secretary (CPS) to Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.

It may be underlined Kailashnathan's contractual appointment as CPS was extended on December 29, 2019 w.e.f. 26.12.2017.

KK (66) retired in June 2013 when he was Additional Chief Secretary to then CM Modi. The BJP government in the state then created the post of CPS, and appointed him to the post for two years. He got an extension in 2015 when Anandiben Patel was the CM and again in August 2016, till the remaining tenure of her successor, Vijay Rupani. When Rupani became CM for a second term KK’s tenure was extended till December 26, 2019. Having another extension KK will now remain firmly on turf till December 2022.
