New Delhi (02.02.2026): On the recommendations of Search-cum-Selection Committee of the proposal of Department of Consumer Affairs, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has appointed two members of National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC). These appointments have been made for a period of five years or till the person appointed attains 67 years of age. The names of these persons are as follows:

New Delhi (02.02.2026): On the recommendations of Search-cum-Selection Committee of the proposal of Department of Consumer Affairs, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has appointed two members of National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC). These appointments have been made for a period of five years or till the person appointed attains 67 years of age. The names of these persons are as follows:
- Pidaparthi Venkata Rama Sastry (Retd IPS: 1989: UP), former DGP, Department of Prison, Uttar Pradesh
- Shashi Nandkeolyar (Retd IFoS: 1986: JH), former Director, State Institute of Rural Development, Government of Jharkhand.
