Gandhinagar (25.07.2023): The Gujarat government appointed Anita Karwal (Retd IAS: 1988: GJ) as the new Chairperson of Gujarat Real Estate Regulatory Authority (GujRERA). The post was vacant for almost nine months since Dr Amarjit Singh’s tenure ended in November 2022. Karwal served with the Central government and held important positions like CBSE Chairperson and Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development too.
