Hyderabad (14.04.2023): The Hyderabad visit of around 80 senior IAS officers of various batches and cadre to study innovation ecosystem of Telangana was cancelled at the last minute on April 13, 2023 in view of visit of former president Ramnath Kovind to Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie where these officers are undergoing Mid Career Training (Phase 5).  Reportedly, Sri Kivind will address trainee officers on Sunday (April 16, 2023).
Around 80 bureaucrats were to reach Hyderabad from Dehradun on Thursday evening. They were scheduled to visit the Telangana government-led incubator T-Hub and India's first and largest prototyping centre T-Works on Friday in addition to Indian School of Business (ISB), as part of their mid-career training. ISB dean Madan Pilutla was to deliver a lecture.
Telangana industries & IT principal secretary Jayesh Ranjan (IAS: 1992: TG) said the state government was informed on Thursday evening about the cancellation. "I spoke to the joint director of the academy. They rescheduled the Hyderabad visit as the former President is coming to LBSNAA on Friday. We have not been told about their rejigged schedule, but we have been indicated it may happen in the last week of April," Ranjan said. He said the main purpose of the visit was to study Telangana's innovation ecosystem and garner an administrative perspective through an interaction with various stakeholders including startups.
