Even though seven IAS officers of 1982 batch have been promoted to secretary-level postings, at least eight officers, who are already empaneled as Secretary, would have to wait for another few weeks to get their turn. Of these eight officers, five are posted in Govt of India: NHAI Chairman Raghav Chandra (IAS:MP); DG of DGCA, Ms M Sathiawathy (IAS:UT); Special Secretary in Min of Statistics and Program Emplementation Dinesh Singh (IAS:UP); Spl Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources & Ganga Rejuvenation, Amarjit Singh (IAS:GJ) and Spl Secretary, Ministry of Coal, Amarendra Kumar Dubey (IAS:KL). Three officers are serving in the state: Haryana Chief Secretary D S Dhesi (IAS:HY); Ms G Latha Krishna Rao (IAS:KN) and Ms T Y Das (IAS:AM). Reportedly, Ms Das may not like to move back to the Centre but Dhesi & Ms Rao are keen to get Secretary-level berths at the Centre. In addition, four IAS officers of 1982 batch are waiting in the wings to be impanelled (review) as Secretary which would be taken up with the Secretary-level empanelment.
