New Delhi (20.12.2024): Satish Jha has taken over as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Eastern Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL). The Public Enterprise Selection Board (PESB) on July 30, 2024 selected Satish Jha for the post of CMD ECL which is a Schedule ‘B’ Central PSU. Before taking over as CMD, Jha was working as Director (Technical), Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited. At the time of selection of Jha as CMD, the post was laying vacant.
