The eternal war of words and letters ended in a conclusive note, at least on the matter of appointment of Swati Maliwal as Chaiperson of Delhi Commission for Woman and three other members.  Ms Maliwal replaces Ms Barkha Singh as new Chairperson, DCM. While approving the names of AAP Govt's pick for the posts LG did not back away from his erlier position on the procedure of appointment and seemingly asserted his power as LG. The note mentioned; 'My clearance of this file is not based on your assertions........Therefore, the stand of this office as well as the Government of India remains the same and does not need to be repeated. The names of the proposed chairperson/members of the DCW are approved'.
