New Delhi(21.12.2020): AP's Special Chief Secretary (Water Resources) Adityanath Das (IAS:1987:AP) may be the state's next Chief Secretary, bypassing his seniors Ajay Prakash Sawhney (IAS:1984:AP), Sameer Sharma (IAS:1985:AP) and R Subrahmanyam (IAS:1985:AP), Abhay Tripathi (IAS:1985:AP) and Satish Chandra (IAS:1986:AP), and his batchmates J S Venkateswara Prasad and Neerabh Kumar Prasad (both from1987 batch). However, much will depend on how the center and the UPSC take AP CM Jagan Reddy's preference for Das. The current CS, Nilam Sawhney, is scheduled to retire on December 31, following two extensions of three months each.
