The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) may introduce a new system of integrity index to monitor the functioning of government officials and various departments, said CVC Commissioner KV Chowdary.
Participating in a meeting with the officials of Anti-Corruption Bureau and Vigilance and Enforcement officials in Vijayawada on Friday, he said that the new system may come into force in the next 15 days.
The CVC would keenly monitor the government expenditure and duties of officials, he said and added that the Commission would work as a watchdog. Public opinion on various government works, officials and departments could be collected through integrity index system, he said.
The CVC should act against the corrupt employees and find lapses in tendering process of governments, he reiterated and admitted the government agencies could not make any headway in preventing frauds in the banking system.
