Custodial torture case transferred to CB-CID on IAS officer’s report

Tirunelveli (20.04.2023): TN DGP C Sylendra Babu (IPS: 1987: TN) transferred the Ambasamudram custodial torture case against Balveer Singh (IPS: 2020: TN) to the CB-CID from the district crime branch police on recommendations of P Amudha (IAS: 1994: TN), who was appointed to conduct a high-level inquiry into the matter.“The case on the allegation that (suspended) Ambasamudram ASP Balveer Singh and other police personnel tortured some persons is under the inquiry of DSP of DCB,” a press note from the DGP office says.

Tirunelveli (20.04.2023): TN DGP C Sylendra Babu (IPS: 1987: TN) transferred the Ambasamudram custodial torture case against Balveer Singh (IPS: 2020: TN) to the CB-CID from the district crime branch police on recommendations of P Amudha (IAS: 1994: TN), who was appointed to conduct a high-level inquiry into the matter.
