COVID 19: Govt employees above 50 or with health conditions can go on leave

The government has issued an order facilitating its employees above 50 years of age can proceed on a commuted leave up to April 4, 2020. They will not have to produce any medical certificate to avoid any undue burden on healthcare system. This has been done looking at the ongoing coronavirus scare.

The government also asked various central government departments to sanction leave to officials who wish to self-quarantine as a preventive measure as part of its effort to relax leave norms for employees.

People above the age of 50 and have conditions like diabetes, respiratory problems, renal diseases and other life-threatening illness can take leave up to April 4, 2020 to avoid unnecessary burden on the health care system.
