The PESB on 09 March 2017 advertised the post of CMD, Coal India Limited - a post which is scheduled to fall vacant on 01 September 2017 following the retirement of Sutirtha Bhattacharya (IAS:1985:AP) on 31 August 2017. The last date of receipt of applications is May 18.
It may be noted that the Maharatna coal company has been going through a transition phase as out of five board-level positions, the post of Director (Tech) is already vacant, Director (HR) is set to fall vacant on 01 June 2017 whereas the CMD's post will fall vacant on 01 September 2017.
