Panaji (18.01.2022): Various opinion polls in Goa suggest that Congress is likely to secure a majority in the state elections which was also the single largest party in the 2017 Assembly elections. A Grand Opinion poll suggests Congress winning 22-24 seats while the BJP winning 10-12 seats, MGP 2, GFP 2-3 seats. The C voter survey has a contrary opinion with 19-23 seats for the BJP while the Congress expected to get 5-8 while AAP is ahead of the Congress and expected to get 5-9 seats and MGP may get 2-6 seats. Various other surveys suggest a better performance by Congress.
